Fringe, the unstoppable fringe!

“Art everyone, stage everywhere” is what we always insist on. What made Fringe festival different from traditional art festival? Random and impromptu, which is also the gene made this city lively. It’s difficult for citizens to follow, accept or identify with new things, but for the past seven years, we’ve been challenging with the traditional rules. We’ve put effort into building up the cultural layer of the city. The city alone with its people have been changing slowly, which also proved all the effort is worthy. We’re facing changing every year, sometimes dangerous sometimes lucky, but always worth expecting.

 

For the 7th year of Shenzhen Fringe festival, we are using “Moving Fringe!” as the theme. MOVING indicates the moving stages, as we as art and performance that can make you feel moved. We believe that there’s no class in art, every piece with passion devoted can move one’s heart. Loaded with adventure spirit and excitement, step in this year, we have recruited over 300 terrific artists from local or all over the world. The circuitry of different art styles is the fascinating thing about Fringe festival; it also inspires people to rethink of the relationship between performing art and civil life.
